Life after death

A Bright light seemed to swallow me,
Into a world unknown.
A world full of mystery,
Where I was not alone.

My body drifted high above,
The place that I once knew.
Where my dreams became reality,
And the friends I had were true.

At first I was scared,
Of what I may encounter.
The voice inside my head blared,
“Don’t be such a doubter”.

I was lifted high above,
By an angel on each arm.
My body drifted peacefully,
They didn’t cause me any harm.

That was when I knew,
That the place that I was in,
Was a place that I had heard about,
A place called Heaven.

My life I knew was over,
And a new start I must make.
For I had found a world,
Where happiness was not fake.
